Notes for 2010-04-25 Ten Convictions of Life Part 2
A conviction is a scriptural principle that we determine to follow whatever the circumstances.

      1.	The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the
      final authority for my life!
      2.	My purpose in life is to seek God with all my
heart and to build my goals around His priorities!
      3.	My body is the temple of God and must not be
defiled by the lust of the world!
      4.	My marriage is a lifelong commitment to God and
      my marriage partner!
      5.	My children and grandchildren belong to God and
it's my responsibility to teach them scriptural
principles, Godly character, and basic convictions!

      ACTS 17:11
Now these were more noble minded then those in Thessalonica, for they receive the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so.

      II CORINTHIANS 6:14-17
14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of living God; just as God said, I will Dwell in them and walk
among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord. And do not touch what is unclean.

      I PETER 4:17
For it is time for judgment to begin with household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

      ROMANS 14:13-15
13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this -- not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way.
14 I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him who thinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 For if because of food your brother is hurt, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

      I CORINTHIANS 6:12
All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any...

      FIVE PRINCIPLES CONCERNING
      QUESTIONABLE THINGS
      1. My participation may imperil the weak; therefore
liberty must be regulated by love. Ch.8
      2. 	My participation may hinder Christian work;
therefore be all things all men. Ch.9
      3. My participation may endanger the soul; therefore
take heed lest you fall. Ch. 10:1-13
      4. My participation may identify with the world; there-
fore do not provoke Christ to jealousy. Ch. 10:14-22
      5. Consider what is expedient and edifies; and do all
to the glory of God. Ch. 10:23-11:1

      I CORINTHIANS 8:9-13
9 But take care lest this liberty of yours somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.
10 For if someone see you, who have knowledge, dining in an idol's Temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be strengthened to keep things sacrificed to idols?
11 For through your knowledge he who is weak is ruined, the brother for whose sake Christ died.
12 And thus, by sinning against the brethren and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.
13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, that I might not cause my brother to stumble.

      PROVERBS 3:9-10
Honor the Lord from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

      MALACHI 3:10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this, says the Lord of Host, if I will not open for you the windows of Heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.

      II CORINTHIANS 9:6-8
6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
7 Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.

      THING MONEY CANNOT BUY

      ROMANS 12:18
If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

      GALATIANS 6:1
Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

      I PETER 3:10
For let him who means to love life and see good days refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking guile.

      COLOSSIANS 3:1-2
If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on the earth.

      MATTHEW 6:23
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all of these things will be added unto you.
